Getting away from the garden subject.... besides, I don't have any pretty garden pictures to show you. We've had several months of no rain, and things are looking pretty sad around my place. Now we're moving into the constant drissly rain time of year. bleeeh.

My newest project is me. I'm trying to get a grip and start losing some weight. There's all kinds of reasons why I've let it creep up to this point. One of the main reasons is that food tastes so darn good. I'm lucky in that I also like healthy food along with the junk I've been eating, so it's time to rediscover vegetables. I'm going to go home tonight and make up a pot of Taco Soup, which is very low calorie and high in flavor. It's a "dump" soup - you just dump everything in and simmer and yummmmm! Chop 1 onion and saute in a tiny bit of chicken stock until limp, then dump in 1 can fat free refried beans, 1 can black beans, 1 can pinto beans, 1 can chopped green chilis, 1 can drained corn, 1 can chopped tomatoes (Rotel is best) & 1 can chicken broth. Add 1 packet of taco seasoning mix. Simmer for 1/2 hr. Enjoy.
