I love the autumn colors. These are sugar maples that I planted about 15 years ago. They were little sticks I bought from the Arbor Foundation annual sale for a buck a piece. The colors they turn will just knock your socks off. Something about these trees gets me all nostalgic. Thinking about how I planted them and how they've grown and the whole aging thing gets me. I wonder if they'll still be around after I'm not?

Those are beautiful maples, Joy! Glad you posted again. Your pictures remind me of home. Nothing like the Pacific Northwest, eh?
